DOZENS KILLED IN WRECK OF LUXURY EXPRESS TRAIN

HOMEMADE BOMB CAUSED DEADLY DERAILMENT
OF A MOSCOW-TO-ST. PETERSBURG PASSENGER TRAIN
MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) - Investigators say an improvised explosive device caused the express train to derail on Friday night, killing at least 26 people and injuring about 100 others. "Elements of an explosive device" have been found at the site, authorities said, and the explosion made a small crater. A total of 681 people were on the Nevsky Express as it traveled from Moscow to St. Petersburg on Friday night. This is Russia's fastest train, equivalent to a bullet train. The crash happened when the train was 280 kilometers (174 miles) from St. Petersburg.

"One can say with certainty that that was indeed an act of terror," the Russian prosecutor's office, said.
A Federal Security officer said "criminology experts have come to a preliminary conclusion that there was an explosion on Friday night of an improvised explosive device equivalent to seven kilograms of TNT. The explosion caused at least two cars to go off the tracks and damaged several others. Late Saturday afternoon, as the cleanup and restoration work was in progress, a smaller explosion occurred nearby. There was no immediate word on who or what group might have been behind the action. However, confirmation that the carriages were blown off the tracks by a bomb has turned the site into a crime scene. There are fears of a terrorist upsurge in Russia’s heartland as speculation grows over who planted the bomb. Analysts specialising in political terrorism believe a recent escalation in violence in Ingushetia and Chechnya could point to the culprits.

WHAT DO THE VEDIC TEACHINGS TELL US?
When there is some obstruction in fulfilling a plan we become angry in life, but if there is no plan of life then we are always open to serve the present and in that way we are clear - free from debt and obligation. Whatever comes in the present we do as our duty. But when there is a plan we become angry if any disturbance will come in carrying that out. … In order to conquer fear we are to cultivate understanding of the real nature of this plane: it all runs by the Lord’s will but we are throwing in our separate interest which comes back to us as reaction.
