NEUQUÉN - Argentina (Telam) - The Argentinean Neuquén province remains shaken by the tragedy of a young man of 14 who committed suicide in the classroom with a gun in front of his teacher and a hall supervisor in the Secondary School CPEM 37, in the town of Mariano Moreno. The boy named Juan José Bruno, son of a city official, killed himself with a gunshot to the chest in the classroom of a school in Mariano Moreno, a town of 5,000 inhabitants located 1,400 km southwest of Buenos Aires in the Neuquén Province.

Police sources said the minor used a “32 mm caliber gun” that he took from his house in order to kill himself. Witnesses reported that after the mid-morning break students from the school returned to the classrooms. A few minutes later the boy pulled a gun and stated his intention to kill himself. The teacher in front of the class was able to withdraw the other students and kept trying to convince the teenager to desist from such attitude but she failed and the boy shot himself in the chest dying instantly.
The Argentine Minister of Education, Alberto Sileoni, travelled to Neuquen to “accompany as a sign of sympathy to the education community”, he explained to local media. The Government of Neuquén has appointed a group of professionals to assist both the teenager’s family, the classmates and teachers from the centre in order to comfort students, and young fellow teachers who were witnesses to this tragedy.

WHAT DO THE VEDIC TEACHINGS TELL US?
Sri Chaitanya Deva said, "Sanatana, if one can attain Krishna by committing suicide, I would certainly give-up millions of bodies. You should know, He is attainable only by devotion. ... Sanatana said to himself, "Lord Chaitanya knows everything; he has forbidden me to commit suicide". Sanatana touching the Feet of the Lord said, "My Lord, you are Omniscient, Supreme and Merciful. I am a low born and sinful man. What benefit can you derive by saving my life?" Sri Chaitanya Deva said, "Sanatana, why do you think of benefits or losses? You have already surrendered to Me. So your body is my property and you have no right to destroy 'my property'. With your body, I have to execute many deeds. You shall have to ascertain the basic principles of devotee, of devotion, of love of Godhead, of Vaishnava duties and of Vaishnava characteristics.

Well i'm pretty sure that none of us are in a position to know his fate. Dealing with kids everyday with these sorts of issues, I get how much emotional pain there is and how incapable teens are of dealing with it especially if they have mental health issues. Yes this is everyone's responsibility: communities, schools/boys boarding school and families need to be in touch with what is going on.
