UN CLIMATE TALKS END IN BANGKOK WITH
LITTLE SIGN OF CONSENSUS ABOUT CRUCIAL ISSUES
LITTLE SIGN OF CONSENSUS ABOUT CRUCIAL ISSUES

Only five negotiating days remain, in November, before 192 nations converge for a critical December showdown in Copenhagen, where they have pledged to conclude a treaty to tackle global warming. Without rapid action, scientists say, the world faces catastrophe in the form of drought, flooding, famine and forced migration. Green groups lamented the lack of progress in Bangkok, and called on rich-nation leaders not to wait until the eleventh hour to act. China, India, Brazil and other developing countries lined up with environment and development groups to condemn both the US and EU for demanding a brand-new climate agreement rather than staying within the Kyoto protocol framework.

WHAT DO THE VEDIC TEACHINGS TELL US?

"The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind."
Bhagavad-gītā As It Is : 15.7.
Individually, communally, socially, nationally, or universally, it is not possible to become independent. When we come to realize that we are dependent, we will have attained knowledge. Today so many people are striving for peace in the world, but they do not know how to implement that peace formula. The United Nations has been striving for peace for so many years, but still war is going on.Srila A.C. BV Swami Prabhupada:
